PRESENTERS
You should all have received an individual email notifying you of the outcome of our double-blind peer review process on Monday 21st October 2013. If you have not yet received this, you may login to MeCCSA OCS where you submitted the abstract and view the outcome using the following link:
http://ocs.meccsa.org.uk/index.php/meccsa/meccsa2014/author/index/completed
Please note that the system refers to "Posted" for an abstract that has been accepted, and "Declined" for an abstract that was not accepted. All accepted abstracts will be made public before the conference and authors are therefore encouraged to revisit their submission online, using the above link, ensure accuracy and felicity of expressions.
Remember that your paper will not be scheduled or included in the programme until you have registered for the conference. In the case of co-authored papers, at least one author needs to register to attend. For panels, at least one author from each of the proposed papers needs to register.
If you are no longer able to attend, please let us know as soon as possible.
FILM AND PRACTICE
This is the final reminder to get in touch with Trevor Hearing <[log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>> if you would like to screen a film or exhibit any other practice material at MeCCSA 2014.
We can help accommodate films, audio recordings, interactive media, installations, or other forms of practice, that relate to your papers. These screenings are complementary to paper presentations.
Deadline for letting Trevor know is Tuesday 10th December. Audio/visual material can follow at an agreed time after this.
FULL PAPERS
If you wish to be considered for inclusion in our 'Media and the Margins' edited collection or be considered for any of the MeCCSA 2014 paper prizes, you are encouraged to prepare a full-length version of your paper. Details on how to submit are outlined below. Please note that this is an optional opportunity and is not a formal requirement for presenting your paper.
Full-length versions of your paper should:
* contain title, abstract and 5 keywords,
* be approximately 6,000 words in length,
* follow Harvard referencing,
* be submitted in Word or similar document format.
Papers should be submitted via email to: Einar Thorsen, [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>
Deadline for submission of papers is 5th January 2014. This is so we can circulate papers to delegates in advance of the conference.
PANEL CONVENORS
Can you please make sure that all members of your proposed panel are aware of their outcome and their need to register? The MeCCSA OCS automated notifications only pick up people entered as authors, and won't pick this up if the information is only in the abstract.
We look forward to welcoming you all to Bournemouth in January!
All the best,
Einar
