It is possible to use JavaScript in Adobe Photoshop and Bridge to batch import/export/edit/delete/copy and a lot more. In the past, Bridge has been basically free; even though Photoshop stops working after the free trial period, Bridge keeps working. This seems to still be true in Adobe CC.

I have made this script based on the VRA Core schema, but it also includes all of the IPTC Core properties.

I am working on a new version that can read and write to nested subfolders and does not require thumbnails to be rendered in Bridge, which means it will run very large batches much faster. I can share this with anyone who is interested.

Subject: Re: IPTC writing software
This thread speaks to my immediate needs.
Can listers name one or some of the programs Ed referred to for multiple-field batch entry from a .cvs file? I would love a program like Trevor described (i.e. suitable for modest computer skills), but since none have been mentioned, this might be the issue that brings me to the command line.
Thanks,
EB
