italian-studies: Scholarly discussions in any field of Italian studies
Dear colleagues,
Apologies for the error in my first posting which was kindly pointed
out by Tatiana Bruni. (The studentship is open to all languages and
our lead person drafted a communal advert to be adapted).
Here is the advert again, with no errors (I hope!):
The University of Bath (UK) is a member of the South, West and Wales
(SWW) Doctoral Training Partnership (DTP), which is making available
50 fully-funded doctoral studentships for September 2014, to be
awarded competitively across the Arts and Humanities disciplines.
Bath has a supervisory capacity in the following AHRC-facing subject areas:
- Modern Languages (French, German, Italian, Russian, Spanish, European
Studies)
- History
- English
- Archaeology
We have particular expertise in interdisciplinary and praxis-oriented
work on:
- political cultures and identities
- European memory politics
- contemporary European history
- cultural diplomacy
- analysis of narratives and discourse
- environmental humanities
- text and image
- architectural history
- heritage and conservation.
We welcome approaches from candidates with PhD projects in all areas
of contemporary Italian culture and society, and will be pleased to
provide support with the preparation of your application for a
studentship.
For further details of research staff in Italian Studies at Bath, their
specialisms, projects which your PhD might be aligned with, the
procedure for application, and deadlines, see

Best wishes,
Adalgisa Giorgio
