A position for a Research Assistant (statistician) is available within the HIV Epidemiology and Biostatistics Group within the Department of Infection and Population Health, University College London. The postholder will be based in the Royal Free Hospital, and will be involved in analysis of data from large observational studies of HIV.
Grade: 6B
Hours per week (%FTE): 100% FTE
Salary (inclusive of London allowance): £28,338 - £29,881 per annum (including London allowance)
The post is funded until 28 Feb 2017 in the first instance.
The applicant will have a first degree in mathematics or statistics, an MSc, some knowledge of the statistical package SAS (or a willingness to use this package) and a demonstrated interest in HIV. The ability to communicate statistical concepts effectively to those with only minimal statistical knowledge, and ability to write reports for a non-technical readerships is also essential.
