We do not offer Troponin T testing at POCT as we offer hsTropT testing in the lab.We feel it would cause confusion to the users if we offered two different results that required different interpretation.

Does anyone have experience of POCT Troponin T in ambulatory care, when the laboratory offers the high sensitivity Troponin T assay? If so is there a protocol you could share on how the two different tests are used in the overall assessment and management of the patient. We have concerns about having two different Troponin T assays available in the trust and the potential for confusion amongst our clinical teams.
