I would like to remind you about the Call for Abstracts for STAR 2014 in Glasgow on 21st May 2014.
Can I also point out there is a particularly exciting prize to be awarded for the Best Paper at the conference. Details below and in the Call for Abstracts.
"The author, or two principal co-authors, of the best paper will be given a very special viewing of the Queensferry Crossing site. As part of the ongoing monitoring and reporting on the Forth Replacement Crossing (Queensferry Crossing) project aerial progress photographs are taken on a regular basis. The prizewinner(s) will first visit the Queensferry Crossing site office in Rosyth where they will be given an overview of the scheme and of progress before being taken to a local airfield in Fife where they will board a Cessna 4-berth plane along with the pilot and photographer for an hour long flight (approximate time). The views from the flight are breathtaking and the photographer is also very knowledgeable with regards to the site and the surroundings areas which will enhance the overall experience."

The 10th Annual Scottish Transport Applications and Research (STAR) Conference
To be held at The Lighthouse, Glasgow on Wednesday 21st May 2014
Deadline for submission of Abstracts is Tuesday 10th December 2013
Abstracts are invited for the 10th annual STAR conference, which will take place on May 21st 2014. The conference is aimed at anyone engaged in any aspect of transport: for example, research, campaigning, strategic planning, project management, service or project delivery. STAR draws a wide audience of delegates from universities, government, and consultancies. Papers are particularly welcome from younger researchers and professionals, and on emerging work. Although there is a clear Scottish focus to the conference, you don't need to be based in Scotland to participate.
Full details of the Call for Abstracts can be seen at the conference website at www.starconference.org.uk<http://www.starconference.org.uk>
Abstracts, of up to 300 words, should be submitted using the "abstracts return form" that is available on the website.
The conference website has more information on STAR, including papers from previous conferences.
