Hi all,
I've released a new version of VomsSnooper to fix a bug that John Hill
(Cambridge) found recently. It seems that Atlas (at least) is using a DN
with spaces in it. This change exposed the bug; VomsSnooper had assumed
that DNs are contiguous strings. The bug causes false errors to be
reported by the checkSite (or checkMyVomsRecords) use cases (so it is
not that serious).
To install newly at a site, see this section:
http://hep.ph.liv.ac.uk/~sjones/VomsSnooper_Tools.html#BUILD_AND_INSTALL
<http://hep.ph.liv.ac.uk/%7Esjones/VomsSnooper_Tools.html#BUILD_AND_INSTALL>
To upgrade an existing site, while keeping your old config (use cases)
here's a way:
# cd /opt/GridDevel/vomssnooper/
# mv usecases/ usecases.bak
# cd ~
# rpm -e VomsSnooper
# rpm -i VomsSnooper-1-40.noarch.rpm
# cd /opt/GridDevel/ vomssnooper/
# mv usecases usecases.default
# mv usecases.bak usecases
For the background to VomsSnooper, see:

And for an alternative download site, check:
http://hep.ph.liv.ac.uk/~sjones/VomsSnooper-1-40.noarch.rpm
<http://hep.ph.liv.ac.uk/%7Esjones/VomsSnooper-1-40.noarch.rpm>
I hope that helps, cheers,
Steve
