Hi Adam,
the underlying tasks are the KAPPA commands: mfittrend, collapse, compave,
compadd, chanmap, block and gausmooth, so you can run these from the
command-line if you want, but what this is telling you is that converting
to NDF is the most efficient method and least effort for your machine,
just do this once.

that I don't understand, unless you're running out of memory or disk
space. Are there any other error messages.
