Dear SPMers,
Is there an optimal way to check whether normalization led to accurate results? The only way I can think of is to check the images from all subjects and see if the origins point to more or less on the same area. However, is there a more automated way of doing this? How do I know whether I should improve my normalization, ie, is there a rule of thumb that determines how much the brains of different subjects are allowed to differ?
Also, is it a good idea to check the registration between the normalized functionals and the MNI template SPM uses for normalization? And, where can I find this template? My SPM folder has several scans in the canonical and templates subfolders, but I'm not sure which of these is used by SPM as the normalization template.
Thank you in advance,
Angela
