Swansea University is pleased to host the Wales and South West England Social Work Doctoral Conference 2014. This day conference will take place on Tuesday 4th February 2014.
The day is run by doctoral students for doctoral students and provides an opportunity for emerging researchers to present their research in a friendly and relaxed environment. PhD students, Social Work academics, practitioners and policy makers are invited to attend. Attendance is free.
The call for paper and poster presentations is open until December 13th 2013. Please visit our website to submit a 300 word abstract for paper presentations or a 250 word abstract for poster presentations.
History:
Doctoral social work research days were held at Cardiff University for four years, with great success, followed by the 2013 conference hosted by Bristol University. Swansea will be hosting the next conference in 2014 and welcoming doctoral students from universities across Wales and South West England. Presentation topics will be chosen to reflect the broad range of interests in social work and will be available to view in the Previous Research Days link.
