Bristol Zoo use live animals in their education sessions and have the best animal husbandry and ethics that I have come across - ask for Dave Naish [log in to unmask] he wrote up some animal welfare guidelines for Bristol festival of Nature which were excellent.

Subject: Live animals in museums query
Hi,
I've been asked to help form a policy on the use of live animals in our trust, mainly as hired animal handlers as we don't keep animals ourselves. Can anyone help with advice, contacts or just their own experience in this area?
Many thanks,
Luanne Meehitiya
