Dear Colleague,
Ofcom research event: new findings on children and parents’ media use and attitudes
I would like to invite you to our research event on children and parents’ media use and attitudes, which will take place on Wednesday 20 November 2013 from 3 – 5.30pm, at Ofcom’s offices in Riverside House, London SE1 9HA. Networking drinks will be available after the event.
Introduced by Colette Bowe, Ofcom Chairman, the event will focus on three key themes:
· Children’s media take up and use
· Children’s media understanding and behaviours
· Children’s online risks, opportunities and parental mediation
Ofcom will present new research findings on each of the themes. These short presentations will be complemented by presentations from BBC, Discovery Research and the Net Children Go Mobile project.
In addition to warmly welcoming contributions from the audience, we are delighted to be joined by a number of prominent stakeholders, including Facebook and Childnet, for the themed discussions afterwards.
A limited number of printed copies of the Children and Parents: Media Use and Attitudes report will be available on the day. Places are limited and will be offered on a first come first served basis. We expect strong interest in this event, so please RSVP by emailing Alison Mountain ([log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>) and we will confirm your attendance by email.
Best regards,
Alison Preston
