Hi John,
thanks - interesting. It's very useful to look at what users do in their lives.
The more research the better as it is always changing.
THis one os a good summary, even though to me it feels a little like they have a tad of affirmation bias on things like search and need to be logged in and keywords etc., but then, this is a PR exercise to some extent :)
I am slightly suspicious that SMS texting is not mentioned. It is on the decrease, but is still a pretty huge comms channel.
It reflects quite a lot of what the most recent Ofcom (regulator and competition authority for the UK communications industries for US readers) found - lots of simultaneous watching, etc.

Joe,
in terms of mobile over time, we have found it useful to look at micro areas of our site and look at what is likely to be used on a mobile/tablet. Our visitig pages reach 30% mobile, 15+% tablet
We have recently revamped them visitor information to optimise it for mobile use as a result.
On the V&A Digital Media blog here...

We found a few quick wins. Check it out in case you can steal any ideas :)
