A part-time (17.5 hours per week), fixed-term project cataloguer post is offered for a period of 12 months.
We seek candidates with significant experience of cataloguing library materials using integrated library management systems (such as Voyager). You will be familiar with internationally recognised cataloguing standards including AACR2 and MARC21.
The postholder will be responsible for the creation of high quality bibliographic catalogue records for East Asian Studies materials (Chinese, Japanese and Korean), and will also support the acquisition of new East Asian Studies materials. Fluency in Chinese and its pinyin transliteration system, and a working knowledge of Japanese pinyin within a cataloguing environment are required.
