We have just about completed creating links from Gateway to Research IDs
from http://learning-provider.data.ac.uk/
There's a few gaps as the new version GtR isn't officially launched yet,
and also there's some organisations that don't have GtR IDs because they
have never received research funding.
This mapping allows Gateway to Research organisation data to be mashed
up with the UKPRNs, wikipedia pages (and dbpedia data), research
consortia (eg. N8 or Russell Group membership), and of course equipment
data.
As a very simple proof of concept, we've used the GtR API to pull some
example projects into the pages on learning-provider.data.ac.uk
eg. http://learning-provider.data.ac.uk/ukprn/10007163.html
The mapping is public domain (CC0), and available in the 'augmented'
versions of the data, plus as a linkset:
http://learning-provider.data.ac.uk/data/gtr-linkset.ttl . While we
don't require attribution, if you find it helpful we would still love to
hear about what you've used it for.
Let us know if there are any other mappings which would be useful
(someone already suggested http://www.isni.org/). If you have the time
to help create or check such a mapping, that would be amazing.
