| The *International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing*
| (http://www.isprs.org) is a non-governmental organization devoted to the
| development of international cooperation for the advancement of
| photogrammetry and remote sensing and their applications. ISPRS is
| structured in 8 Technical Commissions and its *Technical Commission
| **Commission V* (http://www.commission5.isprs.org/) is the one dealing
| with *close-range imaging and ranging sensors as well as applications
| *in the field of industrial metrology, cultural heritage, architecture,
| biomedical and geosciences.
|
| The*ISPRS Technical Commission V Symposium *will take place in Riva del
| Garda (Italy) on *23-25 June, 2014*.
| The Symposium will feature 3 days with plenary and parallel sessions,
| invited speakers from research and commercial domains and an exhibition
| of the most important business players in the close-range domain.
|
| The *main topics* of the Symposium are:
| - Vision metrology and industrial applications
| - Cultural Heritage data acquisition and processing
| - Terrestrial 3D imaging and sensors
| - Algorithms and methods for terrestrial 3D modeling
| - Mobile mapping and unmanned vehicle systems for 3D surveying and mapping
|
| *Important dates:*
| - Abstract _or _full paper submission: March 7th, 2014
| - Notifications to the authors: April 25th, 2014
| - Final paper submission: May 12th, 2014
|
| *Keynote speakers:*
| - Florent Lafarge (Titane research group, INRIA, Sophia Antipolis,
| France) - Dense image matching and surface reconstruction: when
| photogrammetry meets computational geometry
| - Andrea Fusiello (Dept. Electrical Eng., University of Udine, Italy)
| -Structure from motion: state of the art, examples and open issues - the
| Computer Vision perspective
| - Sven Havemann (Institute of Computer Graphics and Visualization,
| Technical University Graz, Austria) - On shape and its semantics in BIM
| - Andreas Georgopoulos (Laboratory of Photogrammetry, National Technical
| University of Athens, Greece) - ICT at the service of Cultural Heritage
| - Michael Wimmer (Institute of Computer Graphics and Algorithms,
| Technical University Vienna, Austria) - title coming soon
|
| *Papers submission:*
| 1. Full papers undergoing a double-blind peer-review process and
| published in the ISPRS International Annals of the Photogrammetry,
| Remote Sensing and Spatial Information Sciences. Paper submitted for the
| peer-review process should be at most 8 pages in length. This kind of
| submission requires the preparation/submission of the full paper by
| _March 7th, 2014_. The review process will deliver its notifications by
| by April 25th, 2014 and the final paper will be required by May 12th, 2014.
|
| 2. Extended abstracts undergoing a review process and published in the
| ISPRS International Archives of the Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing and
| Spatial Information Sciences. Abstracts should be at least 1 page in
| length, possibly with images, and should be submitted by _March 7th,
| 2014_. If the abstract is accepted (notification by April 25th, 2014), a
| full paper will be required by May 12th, 2014.
