Alice
22nd November – 14th December 2013
A photography exhibition by: Ed Davis, Matthew Finn, Carol Hudson, Matthew Lea, Neil Onslow, Eti Wade.
Alice is an exhibition by a group of artists interested in the illusive nature of experience. Considering the visual world as fundamentally unreliable, the photographic and installation-based works elude and evade capture. Like smoke and mirrors, illusion, uncertainty and artifice, they tease, they demand and entertain. Magical imaginings and made up childhood memories feature in practices which are delightfully diverse, playfully engaging with the illusive and deceptive medium of photography.
Private View: 6-9pm, Thursday 21st November (PM Studio Gallery)
Open Evening and Panel Discussion: 6pm, Thursday 28th November (PM Gallery) Three Perspectives on Curating: The increasing complexity of exhibition spaces in the first part of the twenty first century has encouraged the expansion of the curator’s remit.
