Dear members,
I am looking for advice on the best way to combine data from two separate runs. I am running a functional connectivity (FC) analysis using resting state data, and I have been advised to first compute zFC maps for the functional connectivity for both runs, and then to average the runs. Can you please advise me on how best to average two runs? I doubt that using SPM ImCal, loading the two maps and then simply using the expression (i1+i2)/2 yields the right example? I am concerned that getting an average zFC map using this expression does not adequately deal with the information contained in the images.
Can you please comment on 1) whether this [ImCal, f='(i1+i2)/2'] is an appropriate way to average across two runs, or 2) if not, what is the most appropriate way to compute an average zFC map?
Thank you very much in advance. Your comments and feedback so far have been most helpful and are massively appreciated.
Regards, Loreen
