We are ok on IE8 (WAYFless links also work). I also tried on my android phone but OJO insisted on pairing my device with my institution via a registration form and a voucher code, even though I was on our wi-fi network. If I selected the full site link, well, yes, the full site began to load, only for the mobile site to persistently reload straight away. So, there was no way to view OJO on my phone while on my institution's network without my registering my device. That's too restrictive. IP authentication should be platform neutral. Do tablet users get a different experience?

Dom Benson

Subject: [lis-e-resources] Accessing OUP Journals via Shibboleth
Hello
Is anyone else having problems accessing Oxford University Press journals via Shibboleth using Internet Explorer? If we click the 'login via your institution' link off campus the following message appears:
'If your institution is a member of a Shibboleth federation, you may gain access using your institution's login credentials. Contact your library to determine if your institution is participating in any Shibboleth initiatives, and to obtain your username and password. [Journal name] currently supports this method of authentication for institutions in the following countries, and is constantly working to add more. If you would like your institution to participate in this Shibboleth initiative, please contact your librarian. This method of authentication is not supported for your institution at this time.'
Other browsers are fine, it is just IE we have this issue with. I have contacted Oxford but they can't see what is causing the problem so are now in contact with our Information Services department, but as the student will not have even chosen an institution at the point they receive this message I feel it must be a more general issue at Oxford's end.
Any advice gratefully received, I've been trying to sort this for over a week.
