Yes, and it is already done:
https://github.com/HEP-Puppet/puppet-voms
https://github.com/HEP-Puppet/puppet-vosupport
This way we can work on it until it works for us, while keeping track
of the changes with respect to the original work by cernops. And of
course we can use it to merge the two.

I think it would be useful. Maybe even put it into the voms repository
itself (/scripts) if anyone wants to add more VOs.
