Mentoring - Guided Study and Masterclass
Start at any time.
Duration – 15 units The Course – Guided study and poetry masterclass. Ideas are discussed and foundations for poems developed with assistance and developing critique in working through drafts to completed poems. This is a mentoring experience and will work with strengths and identify weaknesses in writing style, all content will be chosen to meet the needs of the student. The mentoring is over a period of 15 sessions, at the end of that you should have portfolio of 8 to 10 poems which are complete a further poems in draft which are being worked through. The purpose of this course is to offer individual mentoring and the time taken will depend on the individual, with each unit taking from 2 to 4 weeks depending on the speed of the student.
Qualifications required – People wishing to take this course do not require any previous qualifications, they do however need to be able to identify themselves as writers. Those who have previously taken the Poetry Kit Poetry 1 or 2 course will find this a natural development but it is not necessary to have done either to get the most out of this course.
