Thank you for your responses, I was more looking for opinion regarding monitoring of sickness absence- Looking through the literature especially from Bohrf and the TUC a menopause policy addressing the question how sickness absence due to 'normal ' menopause symptoms will be monitored is recommended. In this case I have reported back to managers and HR that absence has occurred as a result of symptoms all relating to a single cause menopause and provided them with relevant web pages.
