Hello All,
re mail art:
György Galántai In 1978 he posted a call ?Please
send me information about your activity? to the
international Mail Art Network. With the received mail
he founded the Artpool archive that ? besides its focus
on the new and alternative mediums in contemporary arts
from the 1960s on ? became the most important centre
for documentation and research on Mail Art in Middeleastern Europe.

Arts Academy: Mieke Gerritz, Charles Wessel and Walter Van
der Krujsen of VPRO Televison Netherlands
introduced the World Wide Web
"which was just gaining attention in the explosive hype of the Internet. There were no commercial Internet providers in Hungary, and just three Hungarian CD-ROMs. The lack of a working Internet connection during the event led to a heated debate between representatives of the Hungarian Telecom and East Edge- a group of Hungarian students well acquainted with the Internet."
