A set of Draft Guidelines on ‘Integrating science into humanitarian and development planning and practice to enhance community resilience’ has been developed by Melanie Duncan at University College London in collaboration with a number of contributors. The draft guidelines are designed to encourage humanitarian and development non-governmental organisation (NGO) practitioners to think about the types of scientific information and expertise they may need, how to access and use them, and how to ensure that they are applied in an ethical and accountable manner.
The draft guidelines can be accessed via the resources page on the UKCDS website:

These guidelines are currently being reviewed and, for those who might be interested, we invite you to fill in a five minute survey to provide us with your views on these guidelines and their applicability to your work:

If you have any problems accessing any information or participating in the survey, or if you would like to email any additional feedback, please email Parisa Karbassi at [log in to unmask]
We thank you for your feedback.
