Applications are invited for a Research Assistant with excellent interviewing skills to assist in a randomised controlled trial of a mobile phone intervention to reduce binge drinking among young to middle aged men in deprived areas. The successful applicant will recruit participants, collect baseline data and carry out telephone interviews. This post will involve negotiating access to community settings in deprived areas of Glasgow.
This is a challenging post and the person appointed will need to be resourceful, dedicated and enthusiastic. Communication and interpersonal skills are critically important for success in recruiting and retaining participants in the study. A degree (1st or 2:1) in a health-related subject or social science discipline is desirable. The post is 1.0FTE for 8 months, commencing 1st February 2014.
