UKSEDI 2014: The frontiers of deep-Earth research
Save the date: March 14th 2014
Location: London
There will be a Royal Astronomical Society specialist discussion meeting focused on deep-Earth research on March 14th, 2014, at Burlington House, Piccadilly, London. The meeting will comprise invited review talks, contributed student-presented talks and end with a panel discussion about the big, unsolved questions in deep Earth research. Additionally we will have the opportunity for poster presentations over an extended lunch.
This meeting will help to identify important topics in deep Earth research to which the UK SEDI (Study of the Earth's Deep Interior) community might contribute and we hope to foster new collaborations between UK and international deep Earth researchers. Abstracts for either posters or student talks on any SEDI-related theme will be welcomed (details regarding submission will be communicated closer to the time).
Invited review speakers:
James Wookey (Bristol, UK)
Andy Jackson (ETH, Zurich)
Stephane Labrosse (ENS, Lyon)
Immediately following this specialist meeting will be an ordinary RAS meeting, in which Professor Nils Olsen (DTU, Denmark) will give an invited presentation. All are invited.
