Call for papers on the geographical dimensions of the Euro crisis
Susan Christopherson (Cornell), Gordon Clark and Dariusz Wójcik (Oxford) are organising sessions at the AAG 2014 meeting on the geographical dimensions of the Euro crisis. We welcome titles and abstracts on a broad array of topics related to this theme, including the causes and consequences of the Euro crisis as well as the implications of the crisis for the future of the EU project. We would be particularly interested in papers that deal with the income, employment, and economic growth prospects (or lack thereof) of Europe’s cities and regions inside and outside of the Eurozone. It is hoped that some papers and presentations in the sessions at the AAG 2014 might also be included in the planned special issue of the Journal of Economic Geography on this topic. See

Note, it is not essential that papers proposed for the AAG’s sessions need also be submitted to the journal for consideration. We would also encourage those not attending the AAG 2014 but interested in the topic to make paper proposals to Gordon Clark, Dariusz Wojcik and Susan Christopherson. The deadline for consideration for the sessions at the AAG 2014 is October 15, 2013.
