We are recruiting a Research Assistant to work on a new project called “The Care Farm Study”. The project is funded by the National Institute for Health Research through its Public Health Research Programme and aims to assess the feasibility of conducting a cost effectiveness study of Care Farms in reducing reoffending and improving quality of life among offenders serving community orders. The study has several dimensions and will include both quantitative and qualitative elements in three care farms and their corresponding probation trust locations across England.
You will work closely with the senior research fellow who will be working full time on the project. You will be responsible for recruiting offenders, gaining informed consent, conducting questionnaires and inputting quantitative data. You will also assist the senior research fellow with other aspects of the project including the conduct of a systematic review. Experience of quantitative methods and of handling quantitative data is essential, along with effective interpersonal and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise work and maintain a high level of accuracy.
The post will require travel between three study sites in West Yorkshire, Shropshire and Hertfordshire.
University Grade 6 (£24,766 – £29,541 p.a.) depending upon qualifications and relevant experience
