The next meeting of the North of England Genetic Epidemiology Group (NEGEG) will be on Thursday 17th October in the Cancer Genetics Building at St James’s University Hospital, University of Leeds. All welcome.
We have 3 interesting talks:
Giovanni Montana (King’s College, London)
Neuro-imaging genetics using sparse regression models
Kevin Walters (University of Sheffield)
Enforcing differential shrinkage in penalized multi-SNP regression models as a means of incorporating functional information
Helene Thygesen (University of Leeds)
Inference of copy number variation from Next Generation Sequencing data
The meeting will be in the seminar room of the Cancer Genetics Building, St James's University Hospital, Leeds, (building E on the map http://www.limm.leeds.ac.uk/LIMM%20Map.pdf).
Lunch will be available from 12.30 followed by talks. The meeting should be over by 4pm. If you plan to attend and would like lunch, it would help with catering if you let us know ([log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>) by Monday October 14th.
