Dear All,
I write with some designers fascination with items which may not be fit for
purpose - such as Dyson Airblade hand driers in designated accessible WCs.
I received a link from Australia from an access auditor who was obviously
thinking along the same lines which I've included here:
http://www.accessibleoutlook.com/1/post/2013/09/airblades-by-dyson-are-they-accessible.html.
I've also found them being introduced at some sites in the UK and have
suggested a paper towel / waste bin as an alternative for those who cannot
use an Airblade.
There are obviously alternatives, but what in your view would be a good
choice of hand drier?
One that is reachable / activated by sensor / quiet but effective (so as not
to adversely affect individuals on the autistic spectrum)?
I'd be interested in your views.
Best wishes,
Brian
