You have 30 seconds to impress a potential employer, and your CV is your marketing brochure. It should be a concise career, qualifications and skills overview which will secure you an interview for a new job, and identify you as the best candidate.
Following on from February’s transferable skills seminar for CILIP North East, this practical and interactive workshop will help you identify the best approach for your own CV. We will look at content, layout and style, and talk about what will work best for you and for the jobs you are applying for.
Participants are invited to bring along their own CV for discussion, together with a job advert and/or job description of a vacancy you have applied for recently.
The presenter will be Donald Lickley:
Donald has been reviewing people’s CVs for over 20 years, both as a library manager recruiting new staff, and now as a full-time recruiter for Sue Hill Recruitment. He’s even had to rewrite his own CV several times.
This seminar is free to members and space is limited.
