In this role you will work on a Department of Health funded national study investigating lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) young people and suicide/self-harm.
You will have a Ph.D. in a relevant health or social sciences subject and experience of either, but preferably both, qualitative and quantitative research methods, and some knowledge of online research techniques. It would be advantageous to be familiar with relevant topic areas such as: suicide, self-harm and mental health; youth mental health; marginalised sexualities and genders; mental health service provision.
This is a collaborative research project between Lancaster University and the University of York. The post will be based within the Division of Health Research at Lancaster University. The candidate must be willing to travel for fieldwork purposes.
This is a fixed term appointment for 23 months and is expected to commence on 3 February 2014.
