Hi everyone,
Many thanks to everyone who has already submitted their abstract to the MeCCSA 2014 conference. We are very excited about the quality of proposals that have come in!
We are aware that a limited number of people have experienced problems with the online submission system (see below), so we are extending the deadline for one week only until end of Monday 23rd September 2013. Please note that we have already received an extraordinary number of abstracts this year, so we will not be extending the deadline beyond this.
FAQ: ONLINE SUBMISSION SYSTEM
1. Please submit all abstracts via: http://ocs.meccsa.org.uk/index.php/meccsa/meccsa2014/author/submit
This will automatically prompt you to sign in or create a new user.
2. All abstracts must be uploaded to the OCS via the above link and not submitted via email. If your abstract is not in the OCS system, we will not be able to review it.
3. If you have lost your password, you may retrieve it here: http://ocs.meccsa.org.uk/index.php/index/index/login/lostPassword
4. All abstract submissions will result in an automated confirmation email that displays the title and abstract. If you have received this, your submission is fine. If you have not received a confirmation email, please check if the abstract is in the system and / or attempt to resubmit it. If you continue having trouble, please email me direct on: [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>
5. For panel submissions, please select "Panel Proposals" in "Session Type" on the first screen. For the meta data, please add all authors associated with the panel in the top section (we require this for communicating about abstract review and registration). In the "Title and Abstract" section, please insert the panel abstract together with titles, abstracts and associated author(s) for each of the papers in the proposed panel. If you wish, you may also upload a supplementary file after saving your abstract. If you would like to propose a Chair, please name them in the abstract. Note that this is not mandatory and if your panel is accepted and no Chair nominated, we will allocate a suitable one for you.
6. If your paper is part of a panel submission, you do not need to submit it separately as well to have it considered independently in the event of the panel submission being rejected. Do not worry if you have already done this, we will tweak before the review process.
7. Proposers will be notified via email of proposal acceptance no later than Monday 21st October 2013.
8. If you have any other questions or concerns about your abstract submission, please email me direct on: [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>
