Hi,
Colleagues working with the Universal Decimal Classification may be interested
in the new UDC Online subscription service released by the UDC Consortium.
This application replaces the UDC Online by BSI (http://www.udc-online.com/)
which will close on 1. October 2013.
The new UDC Online is a complete standard edition of the scheme on the Web with
over 70,000 classes extended with more than 11,000 records of historical UDC
data (cancelled numbers). This tool has a number of features to facilitate
searching, browsing and building of UDC numbers and will be developed to include
alphabetical chain index, parsing/validating and filing of UDC complex numbers.
Searching and viewing of cancelled numbers (1993-2012) is intended to help users
with tracing cancelled numbers and their redirections.
Annual subscription is 300 EUR (+ VAT 63 EUR) with a discount price scheme for
concurrent users.
There is a two-week trial period available from http://www.udc-hub.com/index.php.
English is the first in the series of languages to appear in UDC Online which is
designed as a hub of UDC schedules in various languages.
The list of languages to appear in 2014 are available at
http://www.udc-hub.com/index.php
Kind regards
