I am investigating various strategies for the implementation of RDA in our small, specialist, library – initially for new cataloguing and at a later stage for retrospective catalogue edits. At present we use the OCLC Library Management System OLIB and have a staff complement of three. The transition to RDA will be a part-time project undertaken alongside the other duties of one of the two professional staff members.
Any advice, suggestions or sharing experiences, from other librarians in similar circumstances would be most welcome. I am particularly interested in the possibility of using a MARC 21 template adapted to facilitate RDA entry.
