Dear All,
We are looking for a two permanent full time Library Assistants (Band 3 - £16,271 - £19,268) to work as part of the library team providing support for all aspects of the day-to-day operations at the Library. The working pattern is Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm. The post is at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham, located in sunny and leafy Edgbaston. We are a staff library within an NHS Hospital. Our users range from students on placement (medical, nursing and allied health) to medical staff, to admin support staff. Library Assistant: Administration: (Job reference = 304-002658) You will participate in all front-line library activities from inductions, circulation duties, document supply and enquiries. We are looking for someone with good communication, customer care skills and with previous experience of working in a customer-facing environment e.g library, healthcare, retail. You will also have a specific responsibility for ordering and receipting of library stock and stationery.
Library Assistant: Serials: Job reference = 304-002737 You will participate in all front-line library activities from inductions, circulation duties, document supply and enquiries. We are looking for someone with good communication, customer care skills and with previous experience of working in a customer-facing environment e.g library, healthcare, retail. You will also have a specific responsibility for our extensive print and electronic journal collections.
