For those who are Oxford-based or in the area:
The Children's Bookshow has an upcoming author event at The Oxford Playhouse which may be of interest.
The book is 'In The Sea There are Crocodiles', by Fabio Geda. A true story told to the author and retold as a children's/YA novel, it charts the journey of a 10 year old boy from his home in Afghanistan to Italy. The author will talk to Sunday Times children's books editor Nicolette Jones about how he came to write the book, and there will also be readings from key passages.
