Subject: Research request for the BSA Gender list
Dear Dr Davy
I am a Research Fellow at Macquarie University, Sydney, currently on a Visiting Fellowship at the University of Manchester. I am working on a research project on lesbian practices of intimacy in Britain and Australia, and Brian Heaphy suggested I contact you to ask if you would be kind enough to send out a request for assistance on the BSA Gender list.
The request is as follows:
I am a Research Fellow at Macquarie University, Sydney, currently in the UK researching a project on 'Lesbian Practices of Intimacy in Britain and Australia since 1945'. This comparative research aims to trace changing models of lesbian relationships and lesbian parenting practices since 1945. While in the UK, I am hoping to access any available oral history material which explores the issues of lesbian relationships and / or lesbian parenting either currently or in the past. If anyone has such material in their own collections, or is aware of any interviews in archives which I might be able to consult, I would be very grateful for your assistance. I can be contacted on [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>.
Many thanks for your help with this.
Best wishes
Rebecca Jennings
