Bayes 2013: Workshop on Bayesian Spatio-Temporal Modelling
This series of research talks and discussion forum is in honour of the
contribution of Rev Thomas Bayes. Bayes was a student of the University
of Edinburgh from 1719 to c. 1722. This yearly workshop follows in
footsteps of the Bayes 250 workshop organised in 2011 to mark the 250th
anniversary of Rev Bayes's death and Bayes Lectures organized in 2012.
This year's meeting is particularly focused on the contributions of
Bayes's ideas towards the development and application of statistical
methods to spatial and spatio-temporal problems.
The workshop will start in the afternoon of Tuesday 8 October and finish
on Wednesday 9 October, 2013.
Invited speakers:
Peter J Diggle, Lancaster University
Gavin Gibson, Heriot-Watt University
Jonty Rougier, University of Bristol
Andrew Zammit-Mangion, University of Bristol
Adam Butler, Biomathematics and Statistics Scotland (BioSS), Edinburgh
