Get Involved! Research Position, Internship & PV Course

InsightShare is a social enterprise that uses video to facilitate a
powerful participatory process, bringing people together to overcome
barriers and take collective action.

Research Position

In the coming year we will be developing an e-learning curriculum on
managing and facilitating impactful participatory video projects for
social change. We also plan to launch a free online repository of PV
resources built from the expertise of practitioners across the world.
As part of the preparation for this work, we are seeking an
experienced researcher in the field of Communication for Development
(Masters or Phd level) to work with our core team to organise and lead
an analysis of 15 years of trainer reports, InsightShare case studies
and participatory videos in order to harvest learning on all aspects
of participatory video for social change. This opportunity will suit
someone with a background and knowledge in communication for
development theory and practice, particularly on participatory
communication and participatory media. We hope to begin this process
in September 2013.

suitable.

We have a small core team and engage interns from time to time to
support and develop our work in roles that can add considerable value
to our core work. We are currently on the look out for an experienced
researcher and an enthusiastic intern to join our team.

Internship

We are currently looking for someone who wants to contribute to the
development and maintenance of our internal and external
communications strategies as well as provide programme support services.

Primarily the volunteer will be responsible for the areas of internal
and external communications. In collaboration with our Operations
Manager and other members of the InsightShare team the intern will
develop and manage new strategies and tools to support this side of
our organisation. The particular focus points for the intern will be:

  * Organising and sharing data and lessons from the field
  * Maintaining regular external communications channels (Facebook,
YouTube, Website etc.)
  * Supporting with an upcoming online learning webinar series
  * Restructuring and updating the website

In addition the intern may play a key role in preparing for our
involvement in several congresses and an exhibition in London.

suitable, you can find the full job discription, and how to apply here

'Introduction to Participatory Video' course in Oxford. There are two
places left so be quick if you are interested to join us.

Training Course

This training is suitable for development practitioners and activists
who seek ways of strengthening communities and groups through
participatory video, by enabling them to exercise greater impact on
decision-making processes and undertake advocacy for social justice.

The trainees will have the opportunity to experience, explore and
practice a wide range of games and group exercises. Our courses are
designed around principles of experimental learning: employing a wide
range of techniques that enhance creativity. There are only two
