Hello
There was a request from ATLAS ADC to decommission HOTDISK at T2's at ADC weekly meeting yesterday:
T2s do not need HOTDISK anymore:
- Data from HOTDISK are now accessed by jobs via CVMFS
- It is mandatory for T2s to have CVMFS now
ATLAS DDM ops has decommissioned T2 HOTDISKs
- Datasets removed and appropriate LFC entries cleaned
- Endpoint removed from AGIS, site services and deletion services
ATLAS is asking ask T2 sites:
- to clean the remaining data with the path..../atlashotdisk/...
The occupancy of ATLASHOTDISK space token should be zero
- to reassign the space from ATLASHOTDISK to ATLASDATADISK
- to remove ATLASHOTDISK space token can be then removed from Storage Element.

T2 HOTDISK decommissioning
●
T2s do not need HOTDISK anymore
–
Data from HOTDISK are now accessed by jobs via CVMFS
–
It is mandatory for T2s to have CVMFS now
●
DDM ops has decommissioned the non-US T2 HOTDISKs
–
Datasets removed and appropriate LFC entries cleaned
–
Endpoint removed from AGIS, site services and deletion services
●
We ask non-US T2s to
clean the remaining data
with the
path
..../atlashotdisk/...
–
The occupancy of ATLASHOTDISK space token should be zero
–
Then we ask the site to reassign the space from ATLASHOTDISK to
ATLASDATADISK
●
Encountered problems:
–
HammerCloud tests failed to start because they were guessing the
last DBRelease version from the number of replicas
●
The number of replicas decreased after a significant number of T2
HOTDISKs were decommissioned
