Brunel University PhD Opportunity: ‘Sport in the City: urban women, social media and sport/health promotion’

Brunel University is pleased to offer an opportunity for a PT (4 years), part-funded (fees paid) PhD studentship in the area of health and sport promotion in the School of Sport and Education. We are seeking an appropriately qualified individual to conduct research to examine ‘Sport in the City: urban women, social media and sport/health promotion’ in the Brunel Centre for Sport, Health and Wellbeing (BCSHaW).
The successful candidate will work with Dr. Louise Mansfield, Professor Tess Kay and Dr Laura Hills as part of the Sport England funded Health and Sport Engagement (HASE) Project. The focus will be on understanding the role and effectiveness of social media in the promotion of sport for health to culturally diverse groups of women in local communities.
A part time PhD can usually be successfully pursued alongside part- or full-time employment. The studentship will pay Home/EU tuition fees.
