I just thought you might be interested in some behaviour I noted in my kids (9 and 7) when I took them to the (fantastic) London Transport Museum yesterday...
The first kiosk touchscreen they encountered they immediately tried to swipe to move screens left and right and used two fingers to try to zoom images. When these failed to work they didn't even attempt to use another kiosk.
Not really surprising I guess, but it really brought home to me how different our 'digital native' children's expectations have changed how we need to design their interactions.
