Hi John,
As an alternative I'd add that we used Bambuser (http://bambuser.com/ )
to broadcast a session from last month's OpenCulture 2013. It's free
and worked very well even just using the venue's wifi and a laptop's
built in camera and mic.
The results are at

nity-gathering-streaming-live if you want to check it out.
Best wishes,
Simon

Hi
I thought you might be interested that YT have just made their live
platform even more available than it once was.

els-with-100-subs/
Now all you need is a camera, a PC/Mac and an encoder and you too can
broadcast live events (if you want to of course).
We've been playing with YT live and it is certainly the cheapest way of
live broadcasting and is miles better than broadcasting from a Google
Hangout.

Subject: [MCG] Culture24 ITT: Show Me [Scanned]
Good morning MCG-ers (with apologies for cross-posting)
Culture24 is issuing an invitation to tender for the creation of a new,
refreshed version of our award winning Show Me online service
(www.show.me.uk), as part of the Connecting Collections
(http://weareculture24.org.uk/projects/connecting-collections/) project:
to support museums and schools in delivering collections-focussed,
cross-curricular, creative and cultural learning experiences at Key
Stage 2 and Key Stage 3.
Show Me was first launched in 2002 and since then has directed millions
of visitors to a wide range of museum and gallery games and
interactives. For the last two years though, it's been 'on ice' and
we're delighted that the exciting new Connecting Collections project
will breathe new life into the site as well as benefit from Show Me's
existing audience and reputation.
The focus of the new service will be museum collections, supported by
Collections Trust (via www.CultureGrid.org.uk) together with brand new
film and interactive content from Culture Street
(www.CultureStreet.org.uk). The project will also support children and
young people working towards their Discover, Explore and Bronze Arts
Awards (www.ArtsAward.org.uk).
You can see full details of the invitation to tender on our website:
http://bit.ly/19HLUKc
Or, download the ITT as a PDF here: http://bit.ly/14tIjhP
The closing date for responses is 9th September 2013 at 10am.
Please do pass this on to anyone you think might be interested.
Any questions to either me - [log in to unmask] or our technical
producer Phill Purdy [log in to unmask]
All the best, Anra
