30th July 2013
On 30th July ALISS (Association of Librarians and Information Professionals in the Social Sciences) held a one day conference on the issue of how subject/ academic liaison librarians can support evolving research needs. This topic has been highlighted in recent major research reports such as the recent RLUK Re-skilling for research http://www.rluk.ac.uk/content/re-skilling-research and the day focused upon a number of key areas in which skills could be proactively developed. These included; research data management, datasets support, open access advocacy, information literacy and literature searching.
