Hello,
We would like to widen this question and ask how other University libraries decide which newspapers to display in print, if they still do this? We have racks with the most current issue of a number of titles, but over the years a number of 'freebies' have crept into the display and we think it is time to tighten up on the criteria of what we display.
We have both a web page and a LibGuide to help student with newspapers.
Many thanks,
Jennifer Evetts

Subject: Newspapers and Newspaper databases
Hi All,
We're currently looking into our newspaper database subscription, as our usage figures don't justify the amount we're paying in subscription fees! At the moment we subscribe to Gale custom newspapers database.
Just wanted to ask what other University libraries do to provide their students with access to newspapers, and those of you who have newspaper databases, do you do anything to publicise them to the students?
Many thanks,
Holly Singleton
