Subject: Inductions - quizzes/library tours etc.,?

Hi,

Just wondered if anyone could recommend any good exercises for student library inductions?

We have approx 120 postgrad international students. For the past few years we have used the Cephalonian method introduced by Cardiff Uni http://www.cardiff.ac.uk/insrv/educationandtraining/infolit/cephalonianmethod/index.html which has been very successful. We have also used library quizzes/library tours/ and book search exercises to get students orientated with the 'physical library'.

We just wondered if anyone would be happy to share any recent initiatives that have worked well in terms of engaging students with the physical library and staff... We're looking for a mixture of fun/imformality/information retention!

Many thanks!

Stephanie
