Objective
Following the provisional agreement on the Schengen Governance legislative package between the Council and the European Parliament on 30 May 2013, the conference will debate the latest challenges for internal border management in the EU. Recent developments in the instruments available to secure internal borders will be presented and analysed. A visit to the village of Schengen and its European Museum Schengen will form part of the conference.
