Hi folks,
My sincerest apologies for accidentally sending out a blank email
earlier. Here's the revised email with more information on this call
for CFP's.
The Sexualities and Space Specialty Group (SxSSG) invites requests for
sponsorships for paper sessions, panels and author-meets-critics
sessions at the AAG meeting in Tampa, Florida (April 8-12, 2014).
Given the mandate of the SxSSG, we are especially interested in
sponsoring sessions related to geographies of sexualities and queer
geographies. These include work not only on the geographies of gay,
lesbian, bisexual, trans and queer people, but also on the multiple
geographies of heterosexualities, intimacies, sexual normativities and
'sex' broadly construed.
The SxSSG is also interested in profiling recent books on geographies
of sexualities and queer geographies. If you are the author of a
recent book that you would like profiled in an author-meets-critics
session or if you want to recommend a book for consideration, please
let us know as well.
Inquiries, suggestions and questions should be directed to me in my
capacity as SxSSG session coordinator. My email is
