Dear All,
to mark the centenary of women's full membership of the RGS, the Gender and Feminist Geographies Research Group will have a '100+' strand running through this year's annual RGS-IBG conference with a number of events and sessions themed around 'Gendered Frontiers'.
This includes a rich variety of paper, archive and film sessions addressing historical and contemporary themes, including a plenary panel on Gendered Violence, with conference guest, Anindita Datta (Delhi), and Melissa Wright (Penn State), Rachel Pain (Durham), Peter Hopkins (Newcastle) and Katherine Brickell (RHUL).

There will also be a pop-up exhibition honouring women past and present who have influenced our geographical work - please participate in this celebration by completing one of the cards on the stand - you could also bring a photo to illustrate your contribution. Also look out for the badges to pick up at 100+ sessions ....
Join us for the GFGRG AGM in the Tea Room Wednesday lunch time, followed by the GFG meal on Wednesday evening.
Through the auspices of Gender, Place and Culture, Taylor and Francis are sponsoring a 100+ drinks reception on Thursday evening. For those who would like to extend the evening, we will be moving on to the Queen's Arms after the reception.
